Chicago, waiting for Obama: Politico
Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 8:04AM It was hard to leave. He teared up. He promised to return at least every couple of months. He left his car parked in the driveway. But he was moving on to bigger things.
Now, after four months of living in Washington and jet-setting around the world, President Barack Obama’s dream of returning to his hometown every six to eight weeks has met reality. And Chicago is sort of like the high school girlfriend of a guy who headed off to college— he promised to keep in touch, but the calls tapered off and the letters stopped coming. more
