Michelle's style mixes Jackie with Hillary: Politico

Her approach will be a hybrid of the country's two most recent first ladies, with a splash of Jacqueline Kennedy's simple, elegant style. Expect part no-nonsense and involved, circa Hillary Clinton, and part reserved influence, a la Laura Bush. In short, First Lady Obama will be the picture of the modern woman who has it all: an Ivy-League-educated professional, doting mother and adored wife who pulls it all off in a cigar-rolled jersey tunic and palazzo pants.
A 44-year-old Harvard Law School graduate, Obama says her first priority will be her two young daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7. After making sure her "precious little people," as she calls them, are adjusting well to life in the bubble, she plans to advocate for women struggling to balance work and family, particularly those whose husbands serve in the military. She plans to focus on national service as well—an interest that reaches back more than 20 years ago when she led a youth mentorship program in Chicago that received funding from AmeriCorps. more
