From Custard Stops in Virginia to the Streets of Tehran, Obama Lightfoot Will Be Seeing You Soon in Twitter Country
Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 6:37AM The little headline yesterday was Obamas Stop for Custard, Bringing Custard Shop to a Stop.
NYTimes reporter Jeff Zeleny ran to The Dairy Godmother, to sample the old-fashioned frozen custard based on a dairy concept from Wisconsin.
Obama Foodorama's Eddie Gehman Kohan writes: Owner Liz Davis outed the Obama order to the media: The President ate vanilla custard with hot fudge and toasted almonds in a cup. Sasha, 8, ordered a brownie sundae with vanilla custard, hot fudge and chocolate sprinkles. Malia, 10, had a waffle cone with vanilla frozen custard. Less than an hour after the First Family visited, their order was posted on the store's chalkboard, since staffers were being flooded with inquiries:
Dairy Godmother is on Twitter. Today she has 337 followers. Tomorrow, who knows.
Imagine thinking you were living an ordinary Saturday before Father's Day in Alexandria, Va. In walk three familiar faces: the President of the United States and his two daughters with no notice.
