via Mrs-OThe fashion pundits are probably correct when they say that POTUS and FLOTUS coordinate their wardrobes for the photographers. Strolling in for the Medal of Freedom awards presentation, it seems that President Obama's red tie is no accident.
They looking ravishingly glam as always. Kudos to Mrs-O this morning. This moment, they're the only website a P&F photo, based on my search. All others have the recipients -- which is understandable, of course. Anne
From the winners:
Muhammad Yunus
Our friend Muhammad Yunus spoke at Washington's National Press Club yesterday, announcing his success with micro-credit programs in America."Good results in New York and now in Omaha are showing that microcredit is an effective way to fight poverty and provide opportunity to poor people - whether in Bangladesh or in the United States."
Steven Hawkings
Physicist Stephen Hawkings comments about British health care, after receiving the Medal of Freedom from President ObamaProfessor Hawkings has inspired me for years. Whenever I'm feeling down, he's one of the people I call up in the "how would you like to live in his shoes?" solution to temporary self-pity.
The fact-checker should get fired over at Investor's Business Daily. In an article condemning President Obama's health care initiative, the writer referenced Mr. Hawking, writing that he wouldn't have a chance in the U.K. where the health service would have deemed his life "essentially worthless."
As millions of educated people could have told the writer: Stephen Hawking is a born in Oxford Brit, currently a professor at the University of Cambridge. I have a new term for people like this writer: Snarkyites. They're so obsessed with sniping, they never get the facts straight, prompting dialogue and discourse, rather than rants. Professor Hawkings responsed this morning with comments about the quality in his British health care to The Guardian.
