POTUS 'Kisses Up' to the Russians, Forgetting the Real Story of How He Met Michelle
Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 8:39AM OK -- I understand Sasha and Malia doll-making at the hotel (see next post), as a way of not criticizing gender relations in Moscow. Let us not forget, our POTUS doesn't have a bad word to say about burqas and is 'politically correct' in not taking on the subject of women, in countries that deny women equal rights.
I spent Sunday in warm and friendly argument about POTUS's desire not to impose American values on the Middle East, even if it means that America must welcome burqas on our streets, which is NOT located in Saudi Arabia, btw.
Please note that my male friend finally agreed -- without arm twisting -- that burqas are a culturally relevant symbol to women in a way they aren't to men. I'm not sure that I agree that burqas are culturally less relevant to men, but I appreciated his olive branch in an intellectually stimulating conversation.

Sorry, POTUS is far too brilliant to forget how he met Michelle.
What's up with his telling the audience at his commencement speech at the New Economic School that he met Michelle as a student, in one of his classes? Pleeeease, POTUS!
Politico celebrates the memory lapse, saying that it proves that POTUS is human after all and no longer the perfect husband. I say POTUS is a bit silly, thinking that the real story won't be all over the Internet in hours.
Because we all know that our President fully understands how the Internet works, being the master of digital communications and all other forms of knowledge known to (wo)mankind, POTUS must have a reason for the little white lie that 'yours truly' doesn't understand.
Global diplomacy is so very complicated. Anne
