Fashion Meets Fumpy: White House Embraces the Heartland
Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 8:17AM Surely you know that POTUS has taken some heat for the jeans he wore, throwing out the pitch at last week's ceremonial first pitch at the All Star game.
The president told NBC: ‘Here’s my attitude. Michelle, she looks fabulous. I’m a little frumpy.’
But all was forgiven last night, when America's First Lovebirds looked like their old selves, if only for a moment.
via Daily Mail UKThere was no talk of health care, trillion-dollar increases in America's budget deficit and the West Wing hammering Democrats to get in line behind POTUS.
We all need to run away at times, and America did just that last night -- into country music and the true grit soul of America's coal mining country.
Called "A Country Music Celebration," the evening concert featured Grand Ole Opry stars Alison Krauss (with her band, Union Station), Brad Paisley and Charley Pride. Earlier in the day, Krauss and Paisley led a workshop for promising students, most of them from Tennessee and Virginia.
Michelle made no remarks Tuesday at either the workshop or before the concert. So while we're all loving the First Lady's new glam hairdo, many of us are wondering what's happened to her own gorgeous voice. We haven't heard it in weeks. Anne
