FreeRepublic.com Protects the Nation, Trashing Malia's Peace Initiative
Monday, July 13, 2009 at 6:49PM I see that not everyone loved Malia's t-shirt as much as I did. Read Unlike Michelle, Malia Obama IS Able to Talk with Her Mouth Closed!
It's not great that I must go to Vancouver, Canada to read this story, but here it is. I will reprint many of the comments quoted, because they reflect views different than my own.
Good journalism is about giving others an opportunity to speak their mind. It's important to always remember that to every action (in my case adoring the Malia's peace-shirt) there is a reaction. Fasten your seat belts. It's not pretty reading. Leo, you will faint.
According to The Vancouver Sun, a small selction of some of the racially-charged comments about Malia on FreeRepublic.com included: "A typical street whore." "A bunch of ghetto thugs." "Ghetto street trash." "Wonder when she will get her first abortion."
Have you had enough? No way. Michelle-Style wants to give Conservatives a chance to express themselves fully. In fact, I'm helping to broadcast your message. It's part of my civic duty.
I don't know how to break the bad news to the Republican Conservative Free Republic crowd, but the Irish kind of missed their key point. But hey -- these guys are Irish. What do you expect. (Please note that Anne is dating an Irish guy with two passports and has a mutual adoration relationship with Irish Independent writer Lucinda O'Sullivan.) But I repeat, what do you expect from the Irish! They just didn't get your point, Free Republic. That's why I'm giving you some help here in broadcasting your views.
The Irish Chronicles had the audacity to write this about Malia and her shirt, in big letters. In all honesty, I have never in my long life seen a newspaper highlight words in big, bold words. Hmmm. What do we want from potato farmers! They always root for the underdog anyway.
Back to Canada. Thank goodness the international media covers these stories.. However would we know what's going on in America:
Our press is now picking up the story, as little people jam it down their throats. Finally. Gawker -- god bless them -- ran it yesterday. Now maybe the big guys will have to respond.
I get so confused about what constitutes news and what doesn't. At any rate FreeRepublic.com, I hope I helped you out here . . . sending your message out to a wider audience. Rock on with your protect America views! Somebody's got to worry about the republic. I imagine I'm a slacker, too, in your eyes, but hey, I gave you a helping hand today, right?
PEACE OUT,
Anne

The freepers are just ignorant. They complain about Palin's children but will do worse to someone elses kids. They don't see anything wrong with what they did. Conservatives are increasingly showing their hate and are becoming synonymous with being racist. I hope they continue to lose more elections.
I told you fashion is complicated, Leo. A
