Joyful Parisians Applaud Obama Motorcade in Paris

Anne here, giving you a little taste of real-life Paris, as the Obamas convoy spend down Saint-Germain-des-Prés, on their way to Notre Dame. You get a good sense of the mood of the crowd. Nice!

The second video from franceenchine has nothing to do with the Obamas. It's a taste of Parisian life and a scene that I know well.

One day each week, key streets in Paris are closed for the rollerbladers, who roll through the city in huge numbers. This is the Paris that I love -- far more than beautiful buildings and romantic walks along the Seine.
