Darienne M. Page, ROTUS to POTUS, Is Calm Under Pressure, From Tiger Woods to Brad Pitt

Have you met ROTUS? Darienne M. Page is enjoying her job as Receptionist of the United States.

Darienne M. Page, answering calls in the West Wing last month, carries the title of receptionist of the United States, or Rotus, the nickname President Obama uses. Featured recently in  NYTimes profile, From Serving in Iraq to White House Receptionist, Ms. Page is again featured in this Brian Williams internet-only video interview?

Admitting that as ROTUS, she wants to say "Hi, POTUS" and perhaps "Hi, FLOTUS", Darienne bites her articulate tongue, and says "Hello, Mr. President" instead.

Darienne Page admits that while she tries to prepare for each guest entering the West Wing, she sometimes has five minutes from the moment a visitor is announced at the outside gate to prepare for his or her arrival. Then it's Google to the rescue.

Page is a veteran of Iraq and shares a thoughtful commentary with Brian Williams on her time in the military and how it changed her. A
