First Lady of Fashion Michelle Obama Honored at CFDA

First Lady Michelle Obama couldn't make it to last night's Council of Fashion Designers of America's annual awards in New York City, but her spirit and style dominated the event, where she was honored by CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg.

Michelle has a unique look "that balances the duality of her lives' in her roles as adviser to her husband, President Barack Obama, and mother to their two daughters" said Furstenberg.
