André Leon Talley's Favorite Michelle-Style Looks

via Style.comAs part of last night's CFDA fashion industry tribute to First Lady Michelle Obama, Vogue's André Leon Talley wrote a tribute on Style.com, covering his Michelle fashion favs.
Talley chose one of Mrs. Obama's more 'controversial' outfits -- her Juna Wantanabe argyle sweater and Jason Wu's full-skirted dress plus two strands of pearls, that FLOTUS chose for an outing to London’s Royal Opera House and later, an all-girls English-as-a-second-language school, on her first European tour last April 2009.
In saying "I could write a book about Mrs. Obama . . . " is Talley hinting at his future. Clearly this bastion of Vogueness has the connections and credentials to author a style book on Michelle Obama -- or the new White House.
I see not merely a tribute to Michelle Obama's fashion sense, but a tribute to the First Lady's artistic and gardening sensibilities, and her truly unique PDA shots from cover to cover. And we mustn't forget POTUS, Bo, and the rest of the family.
In paying tribute to Michelle's unique and sometime's unexpected style of dressing, André Leon Talley quotes Christian Dior, who said that individuality is one of the conditions of real elegance. A
