Stylin' in the Recycled Garbage "Obama Cocktail Dress"

We love that fact that First Lady Michelle Obama has no reservations about appearing in public more than once in the same dress. Smart Sensuality women recycle their fashions.
LATimes Culture Monster takes fashion retreads to an entirely new level, with its feature on Nancy Judd's "Obama Cocktail Dress', part of her collection designed for her company Recycle Runway.
The "Obama Cocktail Dress" began its design life the day after the election, when Nancy Judd ran around LA, grabbing armloads of plastic posters from dumpsters. Her collection of garbage garments, called the "Obama Campaign Collection" debuted at the Green Inaugural Ball in Washington.
The 'ode to Obama' dress is a fabulous example of using couture fashion as a vehicle for changing how the world thinks about the environment.
Judd says that "making garbage beautiful, glamorous and sexy" may entice people to redefine their concept of rubbish.
Just as the Merced students got Michelle to speak at their graduation, perhaps we need a campaign to encourage Michelle to wear a couture Nancy Judd dress to a future White House extravaganza.
Then again, I'm sure Desiree Rogers reads the LATimes. If not, someone Digg this up to her please. Thanks. Anne
