Bob Dylan's Current Mindset on Barack Obama

The Obamas have embraced music as a key part of the O-effect on American culture. Steveie Wonder and Earth Wind and Fire have been front and center in post-election Party On festivities.

The London Times reminds us that American music icon Bob Dylan has also been a key supporter of POTUS, even if the relationship now is in a state of suspended animation.

Bob Dylan told The Times that Barack Obama was "redefining the nature of politics". POTUS responded, saying that has has 30 Dylan songs on his iPod, including "the entire Blood on the Tracks album".

In a recent interview with The Times, Dylan's ardor has reportedly cooled a bit, although he remains hopeful.

Asked if he thought that Mr Obama would make a good president, the singer said that he had no idea. He added: “Most of those guys come into office with the best of intentions and leave as beaten men.

Dylan's new album "Together Through Life" is on sale April 28th. Dylan's website, features a largely nonpolitical interview about his music and contemporary America. Enjoy the first release "Beyond Here Lies Nothin'" . A
