FLOTUS Returns to an America that Gallup Confirms Loves Her

President Barack Obama arrived solo in Turkey, appearing alone at the door of Air Force One, for his first stop in a Muslim country.

Michelle headed back to Washington, after her day in Prague. No word on whether the First Daughters are meeting her at the airport and whether she's in a private plane.

We reported this week, as did all the major media, that Michelle Obama's ratings are slightly higher than her husband's. That Gallup poll, taken March 27-29,2009 doesn't reflect Michelle's extraordinary popularity of the past week.

In reality, it was Republicans that drove the poll data, as this Gallup graph illustrates. 36% of Republicans gave POTUS a favorable rating, versus 48% for FOTUS, putting her on top every so slight, in the aggregate total. A
