Michelle Obama and Jill Biden spent their 100th day in Washington bagging food for hungry children at the Capital Area Food Bank.Smart Sensuality FLOTUS joined SS Dr. Jill Biden and more than 100 congressional spouses (women and men?) at the Capital Area Food Bank on Wednesday, to bag meals for low-income kids in Washington. The event was sponsored by Feeding America, the largest organization committed to feeding the hungry in America.
As the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity, our network members supply food to more than 25 million Americans each year, including 9 million children and 3 million seniors.
Featured in the photo with Lynn Brantley, Executive Director of the Capitol Area Food Bank and Vicki Escarra, President and CEO of Feeding America, Michelle's Lanvin's silver sneakers gained a lot of media attention.
No problem sharing the media limelight for Feeding America, who believes that food and fashion mix, beyond a spring risotto in Milano. Michelle does love argyle, this time wearing a J Crew Italian cashmere on sale, if you can snatch one.
Perhaps the First Lady looks so happy because she likes the idea that Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman have created their own event to support Feeding America.
Starting today and running through Saturday May 2, Neiman Marcus customers who purchase a $40 non-transferable donation card in the Contemporary Sportswear, Sport Shop, Dress Collections and Men's Contemporary Sportswear departments, will receive a 30 percent discount on full-priced merchandise in these select areas. Bergdorf Goodman will also provide a 30 percent discount off full-priced merchandise in their 5F contemporary department.
Happy shopping. Anne
