Michelle Makes a Gardening Party

We have some great shots of Michelle in the White House Kitchen Garden, where she was joined by children from Bancroft Elementary School.
Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, and White House assistant chef Sam Kass attended the planting of lettuce, kale, collards, onions and shallots, fennel, and berries.
Not only will the First Lady have those kids pulling weeds and harvesting, Michelle will have them canning and producing their own line of gourmet food. Enough of fast-food candy sales to raise money for band uniforms.
It's possible that some of the seeds actually came from Thomas Jefferson's Monticello gardens, which would be fantastic.
