O-Effect: Art, Coffee, Sushi -- America's New Global Brand
Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 9:02AM Anne here. Do me a favor and support this blog Obama Foodorama. It's really good. Followup: I just found an article referencing founder Eddie Gehman Kohan, a Los Angeles-based food writer and agriculture policy “wonkette”.
a real latte made in Barakanalian homage, from Berlin, GermanyToday's feature on a gigantic German Obama latte took me to Art of Obama, another excellent blog, devoted to frequently updated political art.
Well, art and -- sushi? Via Boing Boing: “Obama’s skin is Amis (small shrimp)… Hair is black sesame, fish paste teeth.”
Isaac Cherrie sends in a portrait that he is working on: “I wanted to capture the inspiration and strong sense of charisma that Obama gives off during his speeches. I am an A Level art student from North London hoping to study Fine Art at University in either 2009/2010. I would say that Obama has definetly given me more ambition to better myself as an individual.”
portrait by Issac CherrieWhat's great about the Art of Obama blog is that the entries are global, giving us a glimpse into how the Obamas are influencing culture around the world.
Watching the Hillary Clinton charm offensive this week, it's clear that the Team Obama style of governing, not only winning the election, will continue in a human outreach strategy, winning and retaining one heart and mind at a time.
We've never seen politics this personal. Yes, we adored the Kennedys, but we didn't run side by side with them. The Obamas seek zero-separation. It's "our House" they live in. Anne
