Barack and Michelle Honor Friend Stevie Wonder & 'You and I', the First Love Birds Wedding Song

POTUS and FLOTUS honored Steveie Wonder last night, presenting the multi-Grammy winner with the Library of Congress' second Medal of Honor for Popular Song.

The conversation became deeply personal, with both Obamas admitting that Stevie Wonder's music had bonded them as a couple, and their independent spirits and convictions as people.

Via Reuters: Guests and performers at the concert included soul singer India Arie, country artist Martina McBride, hip hop artist will.i.am and gospel duo Mary Mary, which Obama said reflected Wonder's own cross-genre music style.

Michelle Obama's first album was Stevie Wonder's 'Talking Book'. FOTUS and POTUS chose 'You and I' as their wedding song. Do we see a new trend coming?

"I think it's fair to say that had I not been a Stevie Wonder fan, Michelle might not have dated me," Obama said.

Listening to the lyrics of 'You and I', I must say that the Obamas have lived every word of this song.
