Photo: AFPMichelle Obama wore a drop-dead diva dress from Chicago-bred designer Peter Soronen, comparatively new on the fashion runway scene but with a long history of creating corsetry inspired clothes for the female form. In 1998 Soronen moved his bridal collection business to NYC, where it has evolved into an upscale fashion house.

POTUS and FLOTUS created a wave of glamour harking back to the good old days . . .without crossing the line of sophistication and good taste. It's exciting to note that because of her height and stature, Michelle wears "big" brilliantly.
